The sequence y(n) is apparently equal to the convolution of the sequences x(n) and for h(n):

y(n)=x(n)*h(n)=\sum_{k=-\infty }^{\infty }x(k)h(n-k)

For the finite sequences x(n) with the M values and h(n) with the N values:

y(n)=\sum_{k=0 }^{N }x(n+k)h(N-1-k)

 It is known for n = 0 .. M+N-2
