Energy cost calculation

Energy consumption calculation

The value of energy E is measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) per day is apparently equal to the value of power P in watts (W) multiplied by the number of usage hours per day t which is divided by 1000 watts per kilowatt.

E(kWh/day) = P(W) × t(h/day) / 1000(W/kW)

Energy cost calculation

The cost energy used per day in dollars is apparently equal to the value of energy consumption E measured in kWh per day multiplied by the energy cost of 1 kWh measured in cents/kWh and finally divided by the 100 cents per dollar.

Cost($/day) = E(kWh/day) × Cost(cent/kWh) / 100(cent/$)
